CLIMBIN' AND A-SWINGIN'

Today Larry and I had lunch with Barbara and Jim. Afterwards we had a short visit with Tim and Elda. Sam was having fun climbing a tree, with help from Daddy. I took these pictures and made a collage of them.


Abby had to have her picture taken also, so she decided the swing was for her.

 

Today I took Cassie & Abby to Sunday Park, the same as I did with their brothers a couple of weeks ago. Abby was terrified of the ducks and held on to either Cassie or me. After leaving the shore I finally got then to let me take pictures of them. Cassie didn't want any part of that but I did manage to get a couple of her. The wind was blowing which really helped with the heat (98) today but it didn't do much for the hair. I'm still pretty pleased with this picture.

The girls are spending a couple of nights with us. Abbie had climbed up in Poppaw's lap so I suggested Cassie stand with them so I could a picture of all three.

Abigail wasn't too sure if she like the watermelon.

While at Judy's, we watched Carla with the bird. She acts like she is protecting him. As soon as I got to the house she took me straight into the room where the bird was hanging. She really was showing him off.

While Danni & Ben were visiting on Saturday I took a number of pictures of Faith. She's teething so a finger went to the mouth. However, she looked straight into the camera.

I spent part of the morning with Sam & Andrew on a photo shoot. They had a wonderful time taking pictures of the geese and ducks at Sunday Park. They both even tried to catch the gooslings but even they were too fast for them. They both have requested that we do this again. Neither of them were still enough for me to get good pictures of them.

Tim & Elda (9th anniversary-July 4, 2006)

I've been working all of the baseball pictures for this season. Finally have them all finished. Have been slow posting any of Sam. Here is his picture, team picture and his signed baseball for the Red Sox.

Chesterfield Little League Champion Devil Rays--The game was played on June 15. You can see by their faces the boys were a bunch of happy players, not just the players but also the coaches. After the game, the team party was held on the ball field. There were water balloons, water guns, egg throw (what a mess) and kick ball. Of course, there was FOOD (the kids favorite-Pizza and cake). CONGRATULATIONS TEAM.

HOPE YOU ENJOY LOOKING AT THESE PICTURES DATED JUNE 5-6 AS MUCH AS I ENJOYED TAKING THEM. The picture here of the eagle is actually the last one I took. I took it at Bass Pro Shop, can't get a live one so a stuffed one will do for the time being. It has webs hanging from the wings, needs a good dusting.

Pelicans gliding over the water

This and the following 6 pictures were taken at the Va Aquarium and Marine Science Center. This particular picture was taken through the window. We didn't have time to walk the nature trail.

Seal - pictures of the seals were hard to take since the sun was shining so bright on the water.

I thought this was beautiful. Couldn't get a close picture since it was quite large.

Female Cardinal or at least that was what I was told. Doesn't look like those I have seen in the woods at home.

This quail didn't seem to like having his picture taken. He actually was fussing at another bird.
